Another interesting assignment from my career coach where I was tasked to do 2D animation on a program intended for 3D animation.  The purpose was to expand my avenues by doing more than just 3D. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PaCpDc_40o The face is pretty silly I admit but it was just a test to see if it could be done. The dancing guy is a test to see if full body shots are doable. And lastly, for the train I actually cheated a little bit by using 3D shapes and rendering them in a flat isometric viewport. As an assignment from my career coach, she had me do an animation of the ants and flowers that I posted here recently and you can watch the animation here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjEjqAUdrlE The video quality is pretty chunky because all I have to work with from home is Windows Movie Maker and it's obviously not geared towards HD formats.  If anyone knows if there's a plugin that gives me more output options, that would be great.

The day has finally come and gone.  On the 18th of this month, the Art Institute in  Pittsburgh held its graduation ceremony and I was one of the five Visual Effects & Motion Graphics students who attended.  I now have a bachelor of science degree on my belt and I'm ready to go on an epic job hunt. So, what does this mean for me on DA? What it means is that I'm now open to take commissions in order to build up my resume for a steady job at a major studio.  The only problem is that I'm not so sure about pricing and how payments should be submitted.  I'm sure that if I ask other DA people who take commissions they'll have the right answers.
